IEC Chairman, Greg Hinton, invites delegates and registered companions to join him as the global egg industry unites in the capital of Scotland. This 2-hour welcome reception for the IEC Business Conference 2024 will take place in the majestic Edinburgh Assembly Rooms.
A venue at the heart of the capital, this Georgian building has been restored to its former glory. Its elegant design reflects the history and tradition it embodies, making this venue the perfect location to reconnect with industry peers and forge new business relationships before the conference begins.

The coach will depart from the main entrance of the Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa.
See what Edinburgh has to offer! Registered companions are invited to step aboard the Royal Yacht Britannia for a private tour, a red-carpet arrival previously reserved for Queen Elizabeth II. Experience an exclusive tour of her Majesty’s former floating palace before heading to the Port of Leith Distillery, Scotland’s first vertical distillery, on Edinburgh’s historic harbour.
Following a morning steeped in local history, relax in the Cannonball Restaurant, boasting second-to-none views of Edinburgh Castle. Indulge in a local, seasonal menu, crafted from Scottish ingredients before heading back to the conference hotel for our Drinks Reception.

16:45 – 18:45 Drinks reception – The Atrium, Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa
Settle into the contemporary surroundings of ‘The Atrium’ in our conference hotel during this afternoon reception. This event is the ideal opportunity to enjoy the company of friends and colleagues, and for delegates to reflect on the first day of conference sessions.

Our shared IEC Edinburgh experience wraps up with an unmissable evening of celebration at our conference hotel. We invite delegates and registered companions to indulge in delicious Scottish cuisine and enjoy live entertainment from the local area, whilst unwinding and relaxing with friends and colleagues.
