Connecting & representing the egg industry in India

19 December 2025

WEO was honoured to host a special half-day event in Hyderabad, ahead of the Poultry India Expo in November.

The well-attended WEO India Seminar 2025 proved highly successful, bringing together industry leaders for an afternoon of valuable insight and discussion. The programme featured expert presentations covering the global egg market outlook, progress in controlling highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI), and feed strategies for modern laying hens.

Speakers included Vitor Arantes (Hy-Line International), Uday Singh Bayas (IPEMA / Poultry India), Nan-Dirk Mulder (Rabobank), Dr Olivier Espeisse (WEO), and Julian Madeley (WEO). The sessions were moderated by Suresh Chitturi of Srinivasa Farms.

Attendees actively engaged in productive discussions, which were followed by a networking reception and buffet dinner that sparked important conversations and connections.

Following the seminar, WEO hosted a booth at Poultry India, showcasing the power of collaboration and relationship building. WEO was also formally recognised on the Poultry India stage, where Melanie Ridgewell, Head of Conferences, and Julian Madeley, Director General, received awards in recognition of their contributions to the industry.

These recent regional activities showcase WEO’s commitment to supporting the growth and sustainability of India’s egg sector through continued knowledge sharing and global collaboration.
