World Egg Day 2026: Celebrations for the 30th anniversary!

On Friday 9 October 2026, egg lovers around the world gathered to celebrated ‘Protein that Powers and Protects’ on the 30th anniversary of World Egg Day.

We are delighted to share it was a great success! Countries around the world celebrated in many unique and creative ways!

A charity egg-cooking event was held at the largest open-air food market in Austria; in North Macedonia, World Egg Day clad runners took part in an international race; delicious egg-based meals were distributed to underprivileged families in Bangladesh, and free egg breakfasts were served to morning commuters at a busy train station in the UK.

Not only did amazing celebrations take place in-person, but through a united global effort, the hashtag #WorldEggDay achieved incredible online coverage, reaching over 26 million people in one day, and sharing the power of egg protein far and wide!

World Egg Day couldn’t happen without you and your EGG-stra special efforts. We would like to thank everyone who got involved this time – see you again next year!
