Argentina
Cámara Argentina de Productores Avícolas (C.A.P.I.A.) marked the celebration by creating a giant omelette for the community made with 10,000 eggs!
Australia
Australian Eggs invited Australians to cook, share, and give, showing how something as small as an egg can make a big difference. This year, Australian Eggs partnered with Two Good Co, a social enterprise using food to support and empower women in crisis, donating a year’s supply of eggs (roughly 31,200) helping deliver over 30,000 nutritious meals to those in need. Alongside Two Good Co and their “two good eggs”, Australians were encouraged to crack some #EggsForGood for World Egg Day and spread the goodness!
In honour of World Egg Day, Egg Farmers Australia hosted their second annual event in September at Parliament House in Canberra, where Australian egg farmers showcased their importance in the national food chain to MPs.
McLean Farms hosted an all-day BBQ celebration for its team, serving egg and bacon rolls along with juice for everyone to enjoy. The main admin site’s celebrations featured music, egg and spoon races using squishy stress eggs, oversized yard games, and family-friendly activity packs to take home. Staff also received sweet treats and took part in two prize competitions: an acrostic poem using the word “SCRAMBLED” and a creative drawing – that needed to be more imaginative than resembling a chicken! Prizes included eggs, local gift vouchers, and fun egg-themed goodies.
Belize
The Belize Poultry Association celebrated World Egg Day 2025 by partnering with two egg companies in different parts of the country to serve an egg breakfast to primary school children.
Brazil
The Gaúcha Poultry Association (ASGAV) and the Ovos RS Program celebrated World Egg Day Week 2025 (5–10 October) with their “Versatile Eggs” campaign, including an institutional video on 6 October, social media content, and wide media coverage across newspapers, radio, and TV. Activities include promotional gifts for influencers, producers, and the public, a special release marking 12 years of the Ovos RS Program, and sustainability initiatives such as distributing thousands of seed pencils. To promote egg consumption, themed kits with recipe books, colouring books, t-shirts, and flyers were shared, while assistance efforts saw egg donations to social projects and health institutions, alongside a partnership with the Virtual Blood Bank.
Canada
Egg Farmers of Canada launched a national public relations campaign celebrating Canada’s 1,200 egg farmers and their work producing fresh, local, high-quality eggs year-round. A new World Egg Day video featuring Canadian egg farmers was released and shared on their website, social media, and at library pop-ups where Canadians sent thank-you cards to farmers.
Manitoba Egg Farmers hosted a booth at the University of Manitoba. Visitors enjoyed free mini quiches, entered radio contests to win prizes such as “eggs for a year” or a free brunch weekend, and followed along on social media for event updates.
Art Griffiths Farms jointly sponsored a local theatre production of ABBA with Gray Ridge Eggs. At the sold-out shows, with a combined total of 8000 audience members, they had a display area where they gave out egg information and refrigerator notepads.
Colombia
FENAVI produced an audio-visual series that explores how eggs have influenced Colombia’s most iconic dishes through culinary research.
France
Fans d’Oeufs rolled out a wide range of activities across France, from schools to social media! Through the “Les Enfants Cuisinent” program with chef Olivier Chaput, over 300 pupils took part in workshops and receive educational kits on nutrition and eggs. Future chefs were also involved, with Euro-Toques Jeunes hosting egg-themed masterclasses in hotel and catering schools, where students learned both culinary skills and industry insights. And online, their much-loved hen Marcocotte returned with a brand-new interactive game on Facebook and Instagram, inviting players to choose sides between her and the mischievous Mr. Fox, all while spreading the message of eggs’ nutritional power.
Honduras
PROAVIH celebrated World Egg Day earlier in the week, with activities on Tuesday 7 October in San Pedro Sula and Thursday 9 October in Tegucigalpa. In partnership with the Food Bank of Honduras and affiliated companies, the organisation visited schools to give talks, cook with students, organise fun activities using WEO resources, and donated eggs to children in need. They also engaged with the wider community, including cooking and sharing eggs with people in public spaces, and shared information on social media about the health benefits of eggs. Through these initiatives, PROAVIH highlighted the nutritional value of eggs and their importance for a healthy diet.
Hungary
For World Egg Day 2025, #hashtEGG Toyee Adventure Park invited children to submit short, egg-themed videos in a creative content. Alongside videos they received poems, stories and other creative work inspired by eggs! Throughout the year, #hashtEGG are committed to promoting egg consumption in a playful and educational way to the younger generation.
India
The Department of Poultry Science at Nagpur Veterinary College were awarded a World Record for preparing an Egg Bhurji using 5,001 eggs. This special dish was created by nationally renowned chef Mr. Vishnu Manohar on 12 October 2025, and students, faculty, and over 5,000 people from Nagpur participated.
Dr Biju will be wrote an article in his weekly bulletin, Vision, and sponsoring different varieties of boiled egg for members of his Rotary Club.
Italy
Una Italia promoted World Egg Day with LinkedIn and X posts, as well as an article on their website.
Netherlands
The Poultry Expertise Centre, in collaboration with partners, created a magazine about eggs in the run-up to World Egg Day as part of the Dutch World Egg Days Foundation.
New Zealand
NZ Egg Industry celebrated using the 2025 World Egg Day theme, “The Mighty Egg: Packed with Natural Nutrition.” Key activities included consumer nutritional messaging and a competition to win a year’s supply of eggs for a household, running from 6-13 October and was promoted through digital and social channels. In addition, messaging targeted professionals in health, nutrition, and food sectors, providing a toolkit with a press release, nutrition fact sheet, social tiles, and digital assets to support the consumer promotion.
Nigeria
AIT Integrated Farms supported 100 local poultry farmers with training and providing a rooster to boost local egg production, empower the community, and enhance farm productivity.
The Guardian newspaper in Nigeria published a special report on 10 October 2025, to mark World Egg Day.
Macedonia
The Macedonia branch of the World Poultry Science Association hosted a drawing competition for local elementary schools and kindergartens. Entries were required to promote the health benefits of eating eggs, and the best drawings were awarded and published on social media.
Mexico
The Department of Animal Nutrition at the National Institute of Medical Sciences and Nutrition Salvador Zubirán hosted a series of conferences in the Institute’s Auditorium. At the end of the sessions, attendees enjoyed tasting egg-based sandwiches.
Unión Nacional de Avicultores (UNA) hosted the International Egg Fair in Tepatitlán, Jalisco, with an expanded programme of activities. At the national level, UNA were active in multiple cities, including Mexico City, Córdoba, Tehuacán, Mérida, Puerto Vallarta, San Juan de los Lagos, Guadalajara, Monterrey, La Laguna, and Tepatitlán. Over 50,000 free breakfasts were delivered to the public and educational talks were shared by professionals at the National Poultry Institute, all under the message “Mexico is nourished with eggs.”
Mauritius
For World Egg Day, Oeudor celebrated with a team egg-based breakfast before preparing meals to schools and people in need, as well as donating to Foodwise, a Mauritian charity that fights food waste. Furthermore, eggs were distributed to the whole island from a branded mini truck.
Pakistan
The Institute of Animal Sciences at PMAS-Arid Agriculture University, Rawalpindi (Islamabad), hosted a celebration in collaboration with the Pakistan Poultry Industry. Organised under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Qamar-uz-Zaman, Vice Chancellor of the University, along with leaders from SB Eggs/Sadiq Feeds, the World’s Poultry Science Association-Pakistan, Jadeed Group of Companies, and KK Chicks and Feeds, the event featured an egg cooking competition, poster competition, awareness walk, and seminar. More than 1,000 participants attended this celebration.
The Department of Poultry Production at the University of Veterinary and Animal Science in Lahore-Pakistan celebrated World Egg Day in collaboration with Pakistan Poultry Association, Roomi Poultry, and US Soybean Export Council (USSEC). Celebrations included an awareness walk, an egg-based dish cooking competition, and a poster competition showcasing egg nutrition and its role in human health. The 700 participants were treated to boiled eggs whilst they took part!
Also in Pakistan, the Poultry Professionals Society (PPS) ran the ‘Eggsplore 2025: The Mighty Egg Uncovered’ programme, which featured a myth-busting segment by a panel of experts from around the globe. Furthermore, PPS conducted an online egg nutrition competition for students with cash prizes and certificates for winners.
Panama
ANAVIP celebrated by distributing eggs on the streets, accompanied by music to share the joy of the occasion. The organisation also visited schools throughout the month to promote eggs and their nutritional benefits.
Philippines
The Batangas Egg Producers Multipurpose Cooperative (BEPCO) lead a three-part programme highlighting the value of eggs and sustainable production. Elementary students in San Jose, Batangas took part in the Bidang Egg Kids Show, featuring an animated video on nutrition, a lively dance session, with appearances from mascots Eggduardo and Eggrielle. Poultry farmers attended a seminar on sustainable practices and solutions to environmental challenges affecting egg production. Junior High School students participated in the Bidang Egg Kids High School Dance Evolution 2025, showcasing their talent and energy while promoting nutrition advocacy through dance and music from the Bidang Egg Kids Album.
McDonald’s in the Philippines were giving away ‘Golden Curry Fillets’ with fluffy scrambled eggs for World Egg Day between 7:00 and 8:00am. Local celebrities served customers and queues were out the door!
Poland
Fermy Wozniak focused primarily on internal activities. The organisation also prepared educational material about eggs, which were distributed to broad media outlets.
Suflidowo hosted a team-building event with an egg-themed game and an egg-based food tasting, alongside social media posts highlighting the nutritional benefits of eggs throughout the week.
South Africa
The South African Poultry Association (SAPA) celebrated with activities including a live egg recipe demonstration on SABC 3’s Expresso Morning Show, recipe videos from popular influencers, a nationwide press release with simple egg-based recipes, features in Heita My Friends magazine, newsletters to dietitians, and social media competitions on SAPA’s Facebook and Instagram pages.
Spain
Inprovo celebrated World Egg Day with the Instituto de Estudios del Huevo and Spanish egg organisations. The programme included a press release, awards for research and communication about eggs, as well as a consumer egg quiz, as part of the EU Egg Games campaign with Hungary and France.
Sri Lanka
Ruhunu Farms (Pvt) ran special programmes for school children using WEO-provided activities, and an egg donation programme for pregnant mothers to support their nutritional needs.
Sweden
The Swedish Egg Association built excitement with a social media countdown ahead of World Egg Day, supported by two engaging videos: “Why are we celebrating World Egg Day?” and “In the lead-up to World Egg Day.”
Switzerland
In Switzerland, VEV Vereinigung der Eivermarkter celebrated World Egg Day at OLMA, where visitors enjoyed printed boiled eggs, while a commercial aired on public transportation nationwide. Partnering with national broadcaster Radio Energy, the campaign ran for a week with commercials, features, competitions, and social media activity, alongside dedicated posts on VEV’s own channels.
Thailand
In Thailand, Egg Day celebrated by giving away a free egg with each sandwich they sold on 10 October!
Türkiye
HasTavuk encouraged pre-school children to celebrate World Egg Day this year by getting creative. Children had fun using their imagination to draw and paint shapes, faces, and pictures on eggs, while the activity addressed parents with a deeper message: Eggs should be part of your child’s diet if their healthy development and nutrition are important to you.
UAE
In Dubai, AI Jazira Poultry Farm LLC printed an advertisement in their local newspaper, as well as post on their social media promoting the 2025 World Egg Day messaging.
United Kingdom
The British Egg Industry Council (BEIC) shared content and recipes (Instagram, TikTok) and their website, and issued a press release highlighting a dozen reasons to enjoy eggs!
For World Egg Day 2025, St Ewe Eggs partnered with nutritionist, Jenna Hope, to publish a report on the brain and beauty benefits of eggs, as well as renowned UK chef, Paul Ainsworth, to showcase their egg range and how it can be used in the kitchen. St Ewe also hosted a special event where egg-inspired manicures were brought to life for key media and influencers!
USA
Versova and Center Fresh celebrated with their annual tradition of serving 900 free omelettes to the Sioux Center community.
Rose Acre Farms promoted World Egg Day 2025 using the provided graphics and resources. Messages were shared internally with team members via virtual message boards and externally across social media platforms helping highlight eggs and this year’s theme, #TheMightyEgg.
The U.S. Poultry & Egg Association celebrated World Egg Day with social media posts and an internal celebration alongside its sister organisation, the USA Poultry & Egg Export Council. Activities included an egg-themed potluck and relay games.
Vietnam
In Vietnam, Vietstock 2025 celebrated World Egg Day in the Eggcellent Theatre. The celebration honoured the powerful role of eggs in nourishing global health under the theme ‘The Mighty Egg: Packed with Natural Nutrition’.
International
Hy-Line celebrated World Egg Day 2025 with a range of activities. The team produced and published four recipe videos featuring Bruce Dooyema of Versova/International Egg Foundation, Suresh Chitturi of Srinivasa India, Griffiths Family Farms in the UK, and Hy-Line Production President, Eduardo Da Souza. They also donated t-shirts to children at the Blessman Operation in South Africa, where Hy-Line supports a 4,000-layer farm that donates eggs through its feeding programme. In addition, Hy-Line created a short group video of team members wishing everyone a ‘Happy World Egg Day’, shared on social media.
Sanovo Technology Group marked the occasion with a video highlighting the nutritional values of the mighty egg, while staff enjoyed special egg-based dishes prepared in the company canteen.
