YEL Testimonials
“Joining the Young Egg Leaders Programme has been a highly rewarding experience for me. The program enabled me to build a strong network of dedicated young egg leaders from around the world, fostering connections that have enriched my career and many of which have turned into valued friendships.
In addition, through engaging discussions and events, I gained a clearer understanding of how various agencies that impact the global egg industry function, which has proven helpful to understand. This group has broadened my perspective and provided practical knowledge, meaningful relationships, and lasting friendships that support my growth in the egg industry and as a person. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking to advance their career in the egg industry.”

“The Young Egg Leaders programme has been an incredibly enriching experience, with the highlight being the opportunity to connect with peers from around the world and create a solid network of friends within the industry, exchange real-world challenges and solutions and learn how the industry is so similar and yet so different in each country. Learning alongside such a diverse group of industry professionals offered fresh perspectives that helped me rethink strategies and expand my network in a meaningful way.
The greatest benefit of the programme lies in how it transforms the experience of attending WEO by making one part of a team that works to help each other achieve our individual goals, as well as providing exposure to the industry at large and unique opportunities for collaboration. Through this journey, I’ve gained not only practical tools and broader industry understanding, but also a strong sense of community within the global egg sector.
I would absolutely recommend the programme to any emerging leader looking to grow, connect, and contribute meaningfully to the future of our industry.”

“The Young Egg Leaders Programme has been an incredibly rewarding experience. The greatest benefit was building lasting connections and friendships even at a personal level with like-minded young egg industry participants from across the globe. Sharing ideas with peers of similar age and an egg industry background created a strong network that continues to support and inspire me.
A personal highlight was visiting global institutions like WHO and WOAH, which gave me an invaluable insight from an egg industry point of view as to how these international policymakers work. These experiences, along with engaging discussions and other industry visits, broadened my perspective and deepened my understanding of our sector.
Overall, the programme helped me grow both personally and professionally. I would highly recommend it to anyone in the egg industry looking to connect, learn, and contribute to the global egg industry.”

“The YEL programme has been extremely beneficial in so many ways but the highlight for me personally is the opportunity to build connections with my group and the broader WEO network. In just a short amount of time this programme has opened doors to business opportunities abroad and strengthened relationships with organizations that we’ve done business with in the past.
From my fellow young egg leaders I have learned so much about the egg business in their respective countries. There are similarities and differences between Canada and the various countries represented in the group. It is always great to learn how businesses are run, and the industry works in other places and then bring that knowledge back to my family’s business and the Canadian egg industry in general. Learning from each other helps us all grow as individuals and keeps the group connected as we move forward in our careers and our lives!
The greatest benefit of the programme has been the opportunity to build an incredible business network all around the world as well as an amazing group of friends!! I have gained leadership skills, industry knowledge, and an incredible business network that will be beneficial for many years to come!
I would ABSOLUTELY recommend the programme to prospective YELs!”
