2026 Theme & Key Messages

Protein that Powers and Protects

As World Egg Day marks its 30th anniversary in 2026, this year’s theme, ‘Protein that Powers and Protects’, highlights the essential role eggs play in providing high-quality protein and vital nutrients that help power the body and protect overall health. Packed with key vitamins and minerals, eggs contribute to muscle maintenance, immune support, brain function and healthy development.

We hope this year’s theme inspires everyone, wherever you are and whatever your background, to recognise and celebrate the power of eggs as a natural source of high-quality protein that helps support health and wellbeing throughout life.
